Henker has 30 years of experience in organizational management and international business to include tenure at the State Justice Institute and the American Pharmacists Association in Washington, D.C., the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association and American Mensa in Texas, and as executive director of the Giant Screen Theater Association, the association for the worldwide IMAX industry. 

 

Henker's expertise lies in the general and strategic management of all functional areas of a business. She has completed business and contract negotiations both in and with individuals and companies of 22 countries. Her management and business style is that of aggressive marketing, detailed planning, and strict fiscal management.

 

Henker has been a frequent judge and chair for the marketing, public relations, communications, and media categories of the American Business Awards, the International Business Awards, and the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

 

Her notable professional achievements and accolades include being named a 2020 George Mason University School of Business Distinguished Patriot, she was invited by Billion + Change to participate in a forum at the White House and in 2016, her agency won two Bronze Stevie® Awards presented by the American Business Awards for Marketing Agency of the Year and Communications Department of the Year. Plus, she is the founder of SlayPTSD, a non-profit with a mission to bring greater awareness to PTSD and provide an extensive online library of available PTSD resources throughout the U.S.

 

Henker has received many awards for her marketing and PR talents to include having received Maryland's The Daily Record's “Successful by 40 Award,” which recognized her professional success by the age of 40 and her commitment to community service. She also appeared as a “Woman of Achievement” in an issue of Shore Life magazine and has been honored as a Business Woman of the Year by the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce. Her agency has received an official citation for various organizational achievements from The Maryland General Assembly and one from the U.S. House of Representatives. She has sat on many boards with missions in different areas including diversity, student-athletes, financial education for children, and marketing support for non-profits.

 

Henker originally hails from the Washington, D.C. area. She is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in business, a minor in management, and a focus on employment law. She has completed courses towards a master's in business administration (MBA) at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX.
