Nelli Balkarova joined The Henker Group as a marketing and international business intern in the summer of 2016 and was promoted to marketing assistant in December 2016. She supports the team on marketing campaigns for clients, creating analytics reports, assisting in multiple aspects of e-marketing, creating content for social media, and contributing in search engine optimization projects.

 

Balkarova attends Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business with an expected graduation date in May 2018. She is a double major in international business and marketing and has studied a semester abroad in France. Additionally, she is a student business leader at the Perdue School of Business, the largest college-level center for business education and development in the region. Student business leaders are selected from hundreds of applications and make up a final team of twelve representatives who support the center in community outreach and event planning as well as being a mentor to the freshmen and prospective students of the School of Business.

 

Balkarova is a member of both Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society as well as a member of the intramural volleyball team and the business living learning community at Salisbury University. She is fluent in both English and Russian and has been on the Dean’s List for two consecutive years.

 

Balkarova originally hails from Russia and currently lives on Maryland’s Western Shore, providing the team with new perspectives and insights unique to her background.
