The Next Big Thing

My Love Affair with Luxury Cars by Nelli Balkarova

The next big thing in the car industry is the electric vehicle (EV). EVs are entering the market quickly, captivating current and potential car owners with their benefits. One of many reasons people switch over is to save on fuel costs. Jobs that require employees to drive long distances, for example, results in buying a lot of gas. Furthermore, people also spend more money on gas for summer road trips and vacations, which leads to rising gas prices during the summer. This increase is pushing individuals to seriously consider electric vehicles. In addition, EV’s are significantly better for the environment as well as being new and exciting technology.

A lot of times when people think of electric vehicles, they imagine small cars with little to no power and a whole lot of time wasted on charging them. Well, Tesla is about to prove them wrong. On March 31, 2016, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced the new Tesla 3 model and here are a couple things you need to know about it:

One, it has an amazing exterior design that gives it a smooth, slick, and sporty look.

Two, it also comes with technical incentives like a 215 miles range per charge and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 6 seconds, which is absolutely breathtaking.

Three, the car also seats 5 people and is designed to achieve a 5 star safety rating.

Four, it has an autopilot function and the capability to supercharge.

Five, the best part, it is affordable for an average household income family. As you may recall, Tesla Model S and Model X are priced as luxury cars starting at $65,000 before incentives. Tesla Model 3 is priced at $35,000 before incentive, but, of course, there is a catch. The catch is that you have to wait and anticipate this beautiful car because deliveries will not start until late 2017. And now, there is a waitlist for it, as expected.

I bet you are now planning on saving for this beautiful car as I am wanting to. As of May 15, 2016 there are about 373,000 reservations for the new Tesla 3 Model. The waitlist keeps growing daily and with this promotion, Tesla is making a huge impact in the auto industry.
